Fear is the Enemy

Fear is enemy number one.

Fear stops achievement. Fear stops momentum. Fear places a glass ceiling over possibilities.

Fear hides in the midst of division, casting blame on others. Fear puts the spotlight on oneself. Fear creates imposter syndrome.

We all battle the emotion, maybe daily or weekly, but certainly at points in our career.

Learn to lean in.

I created “9 life lessons” for my kids. Following is Lesson 8.

Lesson 8: Fear or doubt is a trigger for action, a sign to move forward, to follow and push through. Never let fear stop you from doing. In fact, if you fear something, go after it hard. When you do, doors will open and you will see the world differently. God will lead you to places you never imagined. When you feel fear, recognize it, and follow it.

Let fear be a trigger for action.

When you have fear, lean into someone who knows you, believes in you.

And when you are feeling confident, recognize that others in your life may not be. Help steady the ship. You’ll need it in return one day.

Humility, ultimately, defeats fear.
