Care for Conversations
Take care of your conversations.
Much is at stake with our words.
It was said of a mentor of mine, “he was the only person I knew that didn’t have others for lunch when at the dining table.”
The subject of many conversations today will inevitably be centered on a person.
Every one of these conversations is an opportunity to build someone up or tear them down.
Be generous. Make the charitable assumption. See the good in others. Let grace be at the tip of your tongue.
We all make mistakes. We all have character flaws. We all lose control of our emotions. We are all human.
My dad had a saying whenever anyone began talking negative about someone else. He would say to the person speaking negatively, “That’s funny, they always speak so highly of you.” Whenever he said it to me, I got the point.
Your words today will unify or divide.
A house, family, company, team that is divided will not stand.
