Make the Moment Happen

“Defining moments shape our lives, but we don’t have to wait for them to happen, we can be the authors of them.” The Power of Moments by Chip Heath and Dan Heath

I was knee deep in a meeting and received a call from my daughter. Like every dad, I walked out to take the call, making sure all was well.

It was a celebration call from a soon-to-be college graduate about her first job opportunity.

What a defining moment opportunity.

Sure, birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries are great moments to be celebrated. But what if you turn those “everyday” moments into something special (which they are). The milestone achieved by your spouse. The big win by a teammate. The step of faith of a child.

Creating a defining moment can become a difference maker for a member of your family, a coworker, a client. A defining moment can become the memory of a lifetime.

Perhaps the most incredible outcome of creating a defining moment is the tendency for the receiver to pay it forward.

Defining moments create cultures.

You can create from here.
