The land was promised to the Israelites by God. Joshua valiantly believed and led the 1mm+ people into the land. The blessing of the land was theirs to be taken.
There were 3 responses by the people.
Proactiveness. Caleb was proactive, extremely positive, and full of faith. He came to Joshua, replayed the promise of God, and boldly claimed his portion of the land.
Doubt in abilities. Another group came to Joshua and told him that the people were too strong for them to claim their land. They didn’t believe they could do it. Joshua built their faith and sent them on their way.
Hesitation. Some people were reactive, waited, watched. They simply followed, never acting, until Joshua asked them, “why are you waiting?”
We all have people in our families, in our circle, on our teams battling these 3 choices. Build up those that doubt their abilities, offer clarity for those hesitating, and cheer on those proactively going after it.
Additionally, we each have this choice today for our own journey. Shake off the doubt and hesitation.
