Know your Headwater
Headwaters form massive rivers.
The headwater of the Mississippi River, flowing 2,340 miles, is found in Itasca State Park in Minnesota, an 18-foot, knee deep pool of water. The source creates a massive river full of momentum, full of impact, full of life.
Ever consider the headwater of your life, your source? What creates the desire, the energy, the drive, the will to win?
Throughout the course of the day, the journey will be filled with good and bad, wins and losses. Emotions from these events will drive the momentum of your life.
If the headwater, the source, is personal gain and selfish ambition, fulfillment will not be found, and others will be impacted negatively.
However, fulfillment increases if the source is a focus on others.
Remembering your source cuts through the emotions, settles your soul, looks out at others versus yourself.
Before jumping onto the field today, take a second to remember your headwater.
