Others are watching

Life’s greatest lessons are caught from others.

The most impactful life lessons are learned from observing people on their daily journey.

Think about people that have impacted you the most. It wasn’t the one-on-one lessons that they taught you. Anyone can be buttoned up for an hour and give a great message. Rather, it was observing the consistency of their daily walk.

Integrity is learned by watching someone that does business and life with full truth.

Great work ethic is learned by seeing someone full of joy in the trenches, showing up every day.

Love is learned by observing a husband and wife through 50 years of marriage.

Empathy is caught by seeing one run to another’s burden time and time again.

Faith is inspired by seeing daily devotion in action.

Just as we learn, others are learning from us.

We are each surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. Your life is on full display. You are being watched, so today absolutely matters.

Today’s actions will impact my company, my spouse, my kids, my teammates, my friends, even those in my outer circle. They are all seeing how I live.

So many times, we think our name must be in the lights to impact others. We must build something that the world glorifies. We must be on the stage to deliver the passionate message. We must be in the position to lead others. We must have the power to make the major decision.

But, this couldn’t be further from the truth.

The position or stage doesn’t matter, but the daily consistency does.

The one that quietly sets their North Star and marches forward, remaining steady in the good and the bad times, consistent in their actions, steadfast in their decisions, impacts others lives the greatest.

The individuals that intentionally live this way leave a trail of lessons to be cherished.

And, they leave a legacy to be desired.

So, today, our lives are on full display. Know your direction and be consistent.

Impact others. Live generously.
