Emotions are shallow

Ever have those negative emotions well up inside you that make you feel down, disgusted, ashamed, wonder what is wrong?

Those emotions of anger, jealousy, frustration, fear, cynicism, disgust that come out of nowhere.

This just means your human. Everyone has these emotions.

The key is what you do with the feelings.

A wise man once told me that “emotions are the shallowest part of your being.”

So true. How many times have you been sky-high from a victory, only to have it vanish in an instant when you receive negative news? Emotions are fickle.

Since emotions are shallow, we can control and redirect.

The key is to focus on others.

When one flips the view to impacting others positively, emotions are forced to change until momentum takes over.

This week, let the negative emotion be a trigger to impact others positively.

This will take the weight off your shoulders, build others up, and unify.

Scripture, Matthew 11:28-30

Impact others. Live generously.
