Perseverance

Great legacies are always built on perseverance.

If this is true, why are we surprised, dismayed, confused, when our life requires it?

When we were ending our fishing trip in Florida, the Captain was throwing the remaining bait fish in the water. One landed on the pier, one inch from falling in the water. It flopped once or twice and stopped, never knowing that it was so close to the water. One inch from home. One inch from peace. It finally mustered up the energy to try one more time and it fell in the water to freedom.

God orchestrates the journey. We never know how close we are to leaving the valley. We never know how close we are to succeeding. We never know how close we are to meeting the person we need to meet. We never know how close we are to the victory.

But, He does.

Persevere.

One of the greatest acts of mankind is walking shoulder-to-shoulder helping another persevere.

Great legacies are built on perseverance for sure, but it is better said that great legacies are built on helping others persevere.

Impact others. Live generously.

Scripture, Romans 5:3-4
