What do you take for granted?

Those gifts in life that are rarely recognized. The gifts that are around us each day but seemingly go unnoticed. Those things that become so normal, so natural, so much a part of who you are that they are assumed that they always will be.

The quick, flippant answer may put the spotlight directly on yourself. Maybe health, money, a certain material possession, the house that was once a gift, but now has become commonplace. All are amazing gifts for sure. All things we take for granted.

But, dig a little deeper and the meaning of the gift rises exponentially and always revolves around other people.

Your spouse that was with you at your highest moment, as well as, in the valley. The one that knows you like no other, no enneagram needed.

The gift of the laughter, the fights, the clutter that fill your house by your children. The time to and from practice each day.

Your close friends. The ones that are in the foxhole with you each day.

Your team. The people that you rub elbows each day, help carry the mission of the company.

The highs and lows of life. If they were all highs, we would have an ego. All lows and we lose the will to fight.

Opportunity. The fact that each day starts as a blank sheet of paper.

Grace. The power that each have to forgive others, and ourselves, and love unconditionally.

The list goes on and on.

Recognizing what you take for granted naturally unleashes a great attitude, motivates, and creates momentum.

When you take a moment to reflect and recognize what you take for granted, others are impacted.

Impact others. Live generously.
